Cerilian Dragon

Cerilian Dragons are a unique Dungeons & Dragons dragon strain only found on the setting of Birthright, and are arguably one of the more "mythological" dragon-types in D&D. Once the masters of Cerilia in an age that predated even elves and dwarves, their incessant warring led to their own destruction, whittling their numbers down to scant handfuls and somehow leading to their being cursed with infertility - no dragons have been born on Cerilia for centuries, so even the youngest Cerilian Dragon is of the "Old" age category. As a result, they have gone into seclusion, dwelling in hidden lairs and spending decades asleep, violently protecting themselves against any perceived intruders.
Appearance-wise, Cerilian dragons have a fairly classic draconic look; long and serpentine bodies with short legs and a pair of great, leathery wings, armored in reddish rust-brown to iron gray scales. There are no alignment-based subraces amongst this draconic strain, emphasizing their individuality. Still, even "good" Cerilian dragons generally regard all humanoid races as dangerous vermin.
Whilst they will swiftly destroy any perceived threat, these dragons are renowned masters of arcane magic and esoteric lore - every Cerilian dragon has the spellcasting power of a high-level wizard (1d8+8 levels), and the older they are, the harder their magic is to resist. They can use their gazes to inflict Feeblemind, Geas and Suggestion at-will, and exhale 60ft long streams of burning, corrosive slime. They are limited to spells of Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination and Transmutation, but let's be frank; when you're a flying battleship armed with a napalm cannon and the ability to rip a giant apart, you don't really need a lot of big boom spells.
Those who are willing to gamble with seeking out the knowledge of a Cerilian dragon had best beware; whilst their talents as sages are well-renowned and not all are immediately hostile to supplicants, they tend to share what they know couched in riddles and mystery. Also, you better be damn sure you're polished up on dwarven, elven and draconic, because they don't bother speaking anything else!
