Battle Wizards, are militant members of the Colleges of Magic in Warhammer Fantasy. Men and Women wielding great arcane powers, battle wizards are among the most powerful and dangerous people in the Empire. The great destruction they can reap upon the battlefield makes them highly untrusted, and at worst seen as barely sentient living weapons by the most dogmatic of the Empire's orthodoxy. This view of them is not helped by the fact that most Battle Wizards, are "unhinged" to say the least, the great lengths they have gone to study the Winds of magic have left their minds addled.
