K'nib
K'nib is a minor Xenos species that was active in Segmentum Tempestus in the early 41st Millenium. As usual, we known almost nothing about them, although more than in the case of other aliens.
It is commonly speculated that K'nib were created by the Old Ones during War in Heaven, for which there is no solid proof. Their first verifiable mention was in 415.M41 when they invaded Prospero Colony (no, not that one), in a war we know nothing about. Thirty years later they reappeared to assault Assumptus V in the Donorian Sector. To stop them a Kill-team of Deathwatch was sent, alongside a regiment of Imperial Guard. It all ended when Battle Brother Artemis of Mortifactors slew Alcayde (who the hell is that we do not know, but most likely it is a K'nib leader), ending their campaign. After that, they only reappeared to invade Sulacus Rim, but were defeated by Imperial Navy.
Not much is known about K'nib themselves, aside from three facts:
- They seemingly have ten limbs, which led to a common assumption that they are some sort of arthropod-ish aliens;
- Their enigmatic in purpose technologies feature materials unknown to Imperium;
- They have close relations with other xeno species, Clawed Fiends, which they likely use as shock troops.
