The Knights of the Chalice are a Loyalist Space Marine chapter created from Blood Angels Geneseed. Created during the Ultima Founding, the Knights of the Chalice are comprised entirely of Primaris Marines. Owing to the alleged 0% mutation rate of the Primaris Marines, they presumably do not have any Death Company, though since 9th edition we have seen Death Company Primaris marines. Since Primaris Marines have, thus far, been entirely incompatible with both terminator armor and standard-issue jump packs, their chapter organization remains largely unknown, but is said to focus on aggressive orbital assaults with Inceptor Squads, followed up by destabilizing strikes from Reiver Squads.
On the Tabletop[edit | edit source]
The Knights of the Chalice are the "official" Blood Angels Primaris Marines chapter, and as such combine the shiny new True-Scale marines with the newer aesthetic with the themes of the Blood Angels chapter.
Colors and Heraldry[edit | edit source]
The Knights of the Chalice wear a distinct and striking red into combat, said crimson hue only broken up by black, which they use to color their helmet and the Imperial symbol on their chestplates. The right shoulder has the same unique blood drop iconography used to show off company number as all Blood Angel successor chapters, while the left shoulder has the chapter insignia. The squad designation is shown on the right kneeguard.
Chapter Badge[edit | edit source]
Following the medieval crusader theme semi-common with the Ultima Founding chapters, the Knights of the Chalice chapter badge is a stylized black chalice on red.
