If Bane was recruited into the Gotham Police Department.

Mortiurge's are a type of Imperial security officer. Appearing in both the Adeptus Arbites and Enforcers, these are sanctioned killers more concerned with execution rather than upholding the law.

Overview

Mortiurge's often make up kill squads used by the local Planetary Governors to maintain their hold on power. By the nature of their work, they tend to work alone but some are recruited by Inquisitors.

Since they are actually hired and trained by Planetary Governors, they are often seen as a step-up in contrast to the Cult-Stalkers and Malifixers who are nothing more than literal kidnapped criminal goons. As they are sanctioned, they get better equipment and weapons ('Better' only in contrast to the literal shit-pile that most Hiveworlders are issued with).

Ergo, they wear higher quality Flak Armour or even Carapace Armour. Likewise, they are armed with either a Suppression Laser, Lasguns, Autoguns or even more expensive shit like Plasmas, Meltas or Bolters, depending on the situation they are given in. More often than not, they may be just as well equipped as any Enforcer Security Force, so you can also see them armed with Stub Rifles, Imperial Bolters, Combat Shotguns, Autopistols, Shock Batons, Sniper Rifles, Concussion Carbines, SLHG Pattern Assault Rams, Grenade Launchers and a Vigilance-pattern Assault Shields.
