Prepare your anus, I am going in dry.

Chasteners are a type of Arbitrator of the Adeptus Arbites. They are largely considered as 'non-combatants' of the Arbites due to the nature of their jobs, it does not mean however, that they are completely harmless.

Overview[edit]

These officers are trained in less lethal arts and oversee every aspect of the capture, handling, and interrogation of live prisoners. They are experts in punishing a prisoner and breaking their will, often using both physical and psychological torture in artful conjunction to extract information and ensure compliance.

Nevertheless, treatment at the hands of these men and women usually ends in death, although a death in which one is absolved of one's sins against the God-Emperor, provided one confesses.

Chasteners are often trained by Inquisitorial Interrogators in their craft.

Despite their non-combat role, Chasteners are all armed with a sidearm or so, like an Autopistol, Stub Gun (Sometimes an elusive master-crafted variant) or Laspistol, and wear either Carapace Armour or Flak Armour depending on how rich they are.

They are often found in the Precincts of worlds in the Calixis Sector, due to the sheer lawlessness in that area.

Yeah, and their names have nothing to do with chastity in case you're wondering. It stems from Chastisement, which is an old fashioned word for violent punishment.
