Atoma Prime
The planet of Atoma Prime is a Hive World that serves as the main backdrop for the vidya gaem Warhammer 40K: Darktide. It currently has a Nurgle problem, which is why Inquisitor Grendyl is sending rejects to die down there.
Overview[edit]
A relatively dry and deserty world if the outside maps of Darktide are anything to go by. Atoma Prime is a vital node in the Moebian Domain, as while not as populated as, say, Branx Magna it is both an administrative hub and a contributor to the Imperial war machine. It is specifically known for producing a special alloy used to construct stronger tank armor, and in fact has Leman Russ manufactorums integrated into its Hives.
However, it has recently had its underbelly exposed to Nurgle's rot in the form of the Admonition, a Chaos cult worshipping the Plaguefather. The Moebian Sixth was sent in to deal with them, but the cult managed to corrupt them, turning the once-loyal regiment into the traitor guardsmen known as the 'Scabs'. Therefore, Inquisitor Grendyl arrived to begin cleansing the hive through ex-con operatives and such, leading to the events of Darktide.

- Tertium - the Hive City in which missions in Darktide take place in, being the main base of operations for the Admonition cult Grendyl is trying to purge.
