BAM! And your clothes are gone!

Not to be confused with the weapon we all know and love, the Flamer, or assholes on the Internet

Flamers (also known as the Pyrodaemons of Tzeentch, Keepers of the True Flame of Change, Candelabra Mutationi, Horror's fire obsessed older brother and Oh God I lost count on how many mouths this thing has!) are writhing Lesser Daemons of Tzeentch. Unit leaders are referred to as pyrocasters.

As you can imagine, Flamers are an amorphous blob of mouths, loosely humanoid in nature and filled to the brim with fire. While Horrors specialize in ranged combat and acting like a magical matryoshka doll, Flamers are close combat specialist meant to burn their enemies in Warp fire. Unlike conventional fire of course, the Warp fire from the Flamers are completely random; sometimes burning anything that they come in contact with to ashes in a multi-hued conflagration, sometimes turning them into frozen crystal, sometimes spraying surprised enemies with an iridescent cascade of sweet-tasting liquor and even aggressively mutating their enemies into an uncontrollable mass of flesh and tumors. Flamers move by bumping and hopping around, leaping into the air in a gravity-defying and comical fashion.

They have also been known to project gasses that dissolve all living tissues, leaving behind only empty armour and uniforms, while on other occasions, they have the exact opposite effect, leaving the enemy unscathed but naked, defenseless, and in an embarrassing hurry to get new clothes or armor; bonus points if the targets are Sisters, Howling Banshees, or Wyches. Don't cha know that my followers need some humor and the delight of naked chicks running and screaming while they desperately try to hide their privates! Just as Planned! KEKEKEKEKEKKEKEKE! Ooooo! I never knew your daemons were so....cheeky...mind lending me some? ;) Fuck off Slaanesh, this is my wiki page, go bother Khorne or something!

These poor guys' obsession with flame has the side-effect of them getting exploited as a power source. The Thousand Sons sorcerers like to trap and force them into various type of Flamer-like weapons for their Rubric Marines, as it simplifies the logistics tremendously over the whole ammunition debacle as well as never having to actually switch the fuel canister.

Exalted Flamers[edit]

Exalted Flamers are amongst the most powerful of all the Flamers of Tzeentch and exude sorcery from every pore and wrinkle of their amorphous flesh. Unlike their lesser brethren, they are capable of independent thought and action, and are powerful enough to act upon their own if they wish. More often than not, however, they are found leading units of Flamers or Pink Horrors. Exalted Flamers are able to channel magical flame to a far greater extent than ordinary Flamers and Pyrocasters, and can conjure up great billowing sheets of Warp-magic, or hurl bolts of sorcerous change that make the very air sizzle with their passing.

Exalted Flamers of Tzeentch can be seen streaking through the skies of the Realm of Chaos atop Burning Chariots of Tzeentch, only occasionally deigning to appear otherwise, perhaps when robbed of their chariot by a conniving Herald of Tzeentch.
