Outland Beastmaster
Outland Beastmasters are Necromundans who use the Hive World's creatures to fight under their command and also offer their services to Gangs.
Overview
They will hunt for a specific creature to command and will search the lower regions of Necromunda's Hive Cities or beneath wasteland settlements for their prey. Once the creatures are found, the Beastmasters will use ancient techniques handed down through the centuries, to capture them. These include employing lures, animal calls and Shock Staves to aid in overpowering the creatures, who will then be trained to obey the Beastmasters' commands.
The creatures can be anything found on Necromunda, from the humble Necromundan Giant Rats to massive rock-skinned Milliasaurs and even flying Ripperjacks. For a price, Beastmasters can lend their talents and creatures to gangs for a time. However since they only specialize in handling a particular creature, gangs will have to search for a Beastmaster that will suite their needs. After being hired, the Beastmasters will be a surprise element in any battle, when they unleashing their creatures upon a gangs' foes. They are also no small threat themselves, as Beastmasters employee tricks they have learned from their creatures and are often armed with Sawn-Off Shotgun and Shock Staves. Should things go especially bad for a gang, however, they can always use the creatures as food.
Crunch
On Necromunda, the Outland Beastmaster can choose a species of exotic beast and can take up to three of them with him. His options are the cheap Wasteland Rat that is automatically replaced if it dies, the sneaky armored Millisaur, or the flying Ripperjck – which can entangle its foes. His expertise with his selected beast type means that his pets only need to stay within 6” of him – and he takes on one of their skills. A rat-tamer picks up their dodge skill. Wranglers of Millisaurs are able to infiltrate. Ripperjack handlers pick up catfall. The Beastmaster’s ability to adapt is very useful as it makes him very flexible in your army.
