A go-between towards a hard-hitting and fast unit for the Genestealer Cults. The Wolfquad is in between that of a Tauros and a Motorcycle in terms of firepower and pure speed. Wolfquads are therefore, scout units with a excellent enough mobility for it to drive comfortably on uneven terrain.
Overview
The Wolfquad is an Imperial four-wheeled Atalan-class exploratory machine and is often used as an outrider by Genestealer Cults' Atalan Jackals. Possibly the first quadbike made by Games Workshop, the Wolfquad is a nice little vehicle that provides much ample firepower to the smaller Dirtcycle.
These rugged machines have a robust frame and shock-absorbing suspension array. Its engine can run on multiple fuel tools and can mount heavy loads. Because of its larger and more stable base, a Wolfquad is able to both carry a large power supply and a mount to carry whatever heavy equipment and/or weapon the Genestealers were able to scavenge such as Mining Lasers, Seismic Cannons, and the Atalan Incinerators. Like the Lasgun these vehicles are cheap and easy to manufacture. In this role they are valued when captured by Genestealer Cults posing as miners or workers.
Wolfquads can also gain access to a pretty nifty Flamer called the Atalan Incinerator, which is a Strength 5, AP-1, D1, Heavy D6 weapon. With a range of 12", you can thankfully quickly close the distance thanks to the relatively fast movement speed of the Wolfquad.
Despite the name, they are not related to King Furry and his wolfy ilk, although it could be a name honored like that of the Leman Russ Battle Tank. To simply put, for the first time, the Genestealer Cults finally have access to several fast attack unit.
