The Space Marine Landing Craft is the Thunderhawk on steroids and too many growth pills. Space Marine Landing Craft are large orbital-assault vehicles designed to quickly deliver vehicles and troops to a planets surface. They are also extremely fast, within twenty or thirty seconds of leaving their spacecraft, any troops and vehicles will be on the ground and in action.
They are sometimes known as the flying freight trains or cargo containers due to their shape and design. The Landing Craft is by far one of the largest aerial vehicles in the Imperium let alone the Space Marines, easily rivaling Titans in length and size (Except for weight and tonnage). They are rarely used unless if its in a massive battle where entire armies are thrown like Bolt shells and where superheavy vehicles are in need for a quick, surgical strike.
The Landing Craft is armed with various weapon systems such as multiple Storm Bolters, twin-linked Heavy Bolters and a pair of turret-mounted Lascannons and is equipped with large hydraulic clamps to transport Space Marine tanks, at the very least it can hold up to around three Rhinos, two Land Raiders, or even (according to the fluff) a mastodon assault transport
They haven't yet seen an update yet, although the Stormbird might be its spiritual successor.
