Chaos does horrible things to living creatures, but to willingly live with such mutations is madness! It should be clear that Clan Crooktail is most certainly mad. Situated under the unforgiving Northern Wastes- in other words, the center of Chaos Warriors territory -the local warpstone has gained a particularly potent mutagenic tendency. Because of this, mutations are actually commonplace and are seen as gifts. Typical mutations include altered tails, tentacles and bone growths (usually horns and bigger teeth).
