Maleskari is the god of undeath and shades in Praemal.

History[edit | edit source]

Maleskari supposedly achieved divinity, when the Thousand Martyred Souls of Maleskari, as they came to be known as, commited ritual suicide in his name. He once manifested in Prime Material Praemal, where he fought against an avatar of The Iron God, and gravely wounded him.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Maleskari is depicted as a figure draped in a black cloth. Underneath the cloth he's wearing a baroque, black, spiked full plate armor, with a skull showing through the helmets visor.

Worshippers[edit | edit source]

Maleskari is worshipped by those who seek undeath, and especially by incorporeal undead. Many of his rituals require ritual suicide, so his worshippers are often found as small cults. Among the rituals is also the ritual to create soulshades, an arcane process that turns people into shadowy versions of themselves, who rise as shades upon death. Rumors say that the noble house of Sadar is planning on re-establishing the faith in Ptolus.
