The Flesh Eaters are a successor chapter of the Blood Angels from the Third Founding. Even when other successors proved to be unstable, they decided that Sanguinius's gene seed was good enough. As you can guess, their name stems from their consumption of flesh. This practice is attributed to a "hyper-reactive" Omophagea. Basically, since Space Marines can learn by eating things, these guys learn a lot. Sadly they are still unable to learn why GW keeps leaving them in the dark. Hell, they were even in Rogue Trader!
Current Status
They are still considered to be around. Despite what the 5th Ed BA codex says about being "Fatally undone by their gene-seed", which is code for "We don't even kn-//Historitor 109.163.233.200 decommissioned by Inquisitorial decree.//
The previous statement still rings true as every Blood Angel Successor Chapter showed up to help Baal out before Mac-daddy Robbie G showed up. It can also be assumed that they got Primaris Marines. But who really knows? Maybe they ate them? We can only hope and stipulate like so many other forgotten successor chapters.
Daily rituals of the Flesh eaters
- 04:00 - Reveille - The Flesh eaters are roused from their meat hooks to start the day, it should also be noted the flesh eaters quarters are notabley cold for some reason.
- 04:10 - Grooming - The flesh eaters take the time to comb their hair and brush their teeth. Special attention is given to flossing, getting any bits of bone or meat which may be still stuck in their teeth from yesterdays combat maneovers
- 04:30 - Morning meal - A light meal is prepared by the chapter serfs for the flesh eaters, this could include, sausages, pork, steak, ham, chicken, squigs gretchins or the chapter serfs
- 05:00 - Morning prayer. the flesh eaters pray to the emperor for foes to eat and for their primarch to give them guidance, they pray to the emperor for dippy sauce, sweet and sour sauce or barbecue sauce so that they next time they serve against the tyranids they can be fully equipped for battle.
- 06:00 - Morning firing rituals - the flesh eaters fire with their bolters against captured aliens or heretics this usually be conducted rather promptly as to save time for extra emphasis on battle practice
06:30 - Battle practice -the flesh eaters will spend extra time on cqc and hand to hand maneovers in the morning using the ritual chapter weapons against captured heretics, orks, aeldari and tyranids. said ritual weapons resemble meat cleavers, hammers, lobster crackers, knives and forks ideal for getting up close with chosen foes.
- 8:00 - meat pie break- using whatevers leftover of their captured foes(if anything) chapter serfs will take whats left and make meat pies for the chapter, any serf who fails to make a good eneough meat pie will himself be used as an ingredient in the next batch!
- 10:00 - tactical indoctrination: the chapter gathers to study their enemies movments and learn where their soft underbelly is to strike, often led by epostolary lectre on methods and approaches to go for the enemies throat, any brother who brings a snack to the hall had best bring eneough for the entire chapter!
- 12:00 - Midday meal - the flesh eaters consume a light meal any brother who choses the vegetarian option shall find himself deployed in a drop pod with the chapters death company!
- 13:00 - recruitment and grocery run, very often the flesh eaters will send out a small number of brothers to gather initiates while sending other brothers out for snacks, much confusion is had over which is which or who was to bring what back to the chapter monastary, many brothers are hangry at this hour and pray to the primarch hang-uinis for guidance(and more dippy sauce)
- 14:00 - ritual communion with their primarch: the chapter convenes in the reclusiarum to ritually "commune" with their primarch, this sacred task sees each and every battle brother from highest to lowest devour an ork, and not trip balls in the process, great insight is learned in this way, such as which heretic to turn into mince meat next
- 15:00 - Deep strike training - The flesh eaters will practice their maneovers using jump packs and close combat this is usually done against aireal targets including scourges, swooping hawks, vespids, kroot, tyranid gargoyles and any heretical bat-men they happen to find, the remains will be brought to brother sanders for ritual preparation in the chapters deep-fryatorium by the chapter serfs.
- 16:00 - Evening firing rituals. the flesh tearers will gather to practice their night firing maneovers, usually one of the mentors legion will be on hand to suggest how to do it better, especially when firing at aeldari
- 17:20 - Meat and Cookies Break. the flesh eaters gather for a meat and cookies break, drinking milk is expressedly forbidden, chewing with your mouth open is also heretical.
- 18:00- evening meal: a feast is prepared from todays meats from todays combat maneouvers, whatever recruits they didnt eat by accident, and whatever flying deep fried aliens the assault marines hacked to bits earlier this evening live squigs are also a popular choice, as is fois-grox, any serf who underpears the meal or provide insufficient condiments particularly as it pertains to kroot-mc nugget sauce, can expect to be used as supper next
- 17:30 - Evening prayer. the chapter gives praise to the emperor for any enemies they might have killed today or any food they recieved.
- 21:30 - Free time - the flesh eaters often use thier free time to watch ancient terran holo videos including one called "soilent green" in which the hive nobles of terra are decived by xenos also popular viewing is ancient terran foodsmith "Gordon ramsay" the flesh tearers find great amusement in watching him tear into what they can only assume to be chapter serfs complaining how most of the meals are raw!, also of popular viewing is ancient terran movie "alive" about a sports team from terra who crash there plane and give thanks to what they assume to be the emperor that they have food(said food is some guys leg) and ancient terran holovideo ravenous by moviesmith Antonia Bird
- 23:00 - the flesh eaters retire to their cold meat hooked cells for rest for the next day

- The Pentarchy of Blood (War of the False Primarch) - The Flesh Eaters, Space Sharks, Death Eagles, Red Talons, & the Charnel Guard destroyed eleven other Space Marine chapters deemed heretics.
- Golance War - The Flesh Eaters get duped by Eldar and have to be bailed out by the Mentors.
- Alvatine Suppression - The Flesh Eaters did something or were involved with whatever it was. Too bad this event is not referenced anywhere else.
- Devastation of Baal - The Flesh Eaters got almost destroyed.
