Bahgtru is a lesser orc god in the realms of Dungeons & Dragons. The Son of Gruumsh and Luthic, he is regarded as incredibly strong but also as incredibly stupid, a mindless brute-god as mighty as he is thick-headed. He appears as a gigantic orc, hugely muscular, with dirty tan skin and dull green eyes; the tusks which protrude on either side of his mouth are white from bone-gnawing. He wears heavily studded leather armor and gauntlets.
He first appeared in the article "The Gods of the Orcs" in Dragon Magazine #62 for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition. From there, he made it into the first Unearthed Arcana source book. In 2nd edition, he was detailed first in Monster Mythology, then in On Hallowed Ground. In 3e, he appeared in Faiths & Pantheons, whilst in 4e he made his return in Secrets of the Plane Above, and finally he returned in the Player's Handbook and Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide for 5th edition.
