Shekinester is the multi-faceted goddess of nagas. She's the mother of Parrafaire.
The Aspects[edit | edit source]
Shekinester's aspects came about due to conflict between Jazirian and Ssharstrune. The two gods both tried to court her, with her eventually choosing Jazirian. Ssharstrune however didn't accept this and attacked the two of them, which ended with Shekinester swallowing him whole. This had the unexpected side-effect of splitting Shekinester into different aspects.
Originally, back in Planescape, she only had three aspects: the Empowerer, the Preserver, and the Weaver, following after the Rule of Three. In 3rd Edition, she gained two more aspects: the Acquirer and the Seeker.
The Acquirer[edit | edit source]
The Acquirer is the embodiment of the urge to control and possess. As her, Shekinester seeks to hoard knowledge that is in danger of being either lost or forgotten. She's depicted as a harsh-faced and shrewish naga, desperately trying to hold onto her fading youth.
The Empowerer[edit | edit source]
The Empowerer is the kind and merciful guardian of the young and uninitiated, as well as the bestower of wisdom. As her, Shekinester seeks to grant wisdom to those who need it, whether they realize it or not. She's depicted as a naga with the head of a beautiful young maiden.
The Presever[edit | edit source]
The Preserver is the keeper of the flame in the Court of Light, charged with maintaining existance and keeping guard over the dead. As her, Shekinester seeks to protect those in danger of extinction or other great danger. She's depicted as a middle-aged naga.
The Seeker[edit | edit source]
The Seeker is the embodiment of childish curiosity and drive to explore and learn. As her, Shekinester is driven to explore and study. She's depicted as a childlike naga.
The Weaver[edit | edit source]
The Weaver (not to be confused with the other Weaver) is the priciple of destruction, destroying the old to make room for the new, but also connections, bringing together strands of knowledge to make new understanding. As her, Shekinester guards lost and decaying places, destroying anyone who enters. She's depicted as a crone-faced naga.

Despite having been swallowed by Shekinester, Ssharstrune still has worshippers, having become yet another aspect of Shekinester, though judging by her title most think of them as separate gods.
