Should NOT be confused with the other giant iceball.

Valhalla (no, not that Valhalla) is a giant ice cube somehow inhabited by human life. They had a rather large Ork infestation during The War of The Beast that they learned to combat by bursting from the glaciers under them with big drill-tanks and shooting everything in sight. Eventually they killed off the 'skins.

Valhallans are simply people born on the incredibly cold planet of Valhalla.

Overview[edit | edit source]

When it was first settled, Valhalla basically shared the same story as Tallarn, as it was a verdant world of forests and broad fertile planes. Quite clearly both these two planets went the direct opposite direction due to a calamity, with Tallarn turning into NOT-Tatooine and Valhalla turning into NOT-Hoth.

This calamity happened ten thousand years ago around the same time as Tallarn's own catastrophe coincidentally enough; where the planet was struck by an immense rogue comet which forever destroyed the paradise of the world. The defense lasers surrounding the planet had blasted the comet with shot after shot, but only succeeded in breaking off fragments of the comet, which was found to consist of almost pure iron. A mile-wide fragment of the comet struck the northern continent, causing great earthquakes and destruction. The main comet hit the vast ocean which spanned most of the planet.

The boiling seas, and the pall of vapor and dust blocked off the sunlight. The temperature of the planet fell to freezing levels. Most significantly the comet had knocked the planet from its orbit, and over a period of ten years the planet spun eccentrically, drifting fifteen million miles away from its sun. By this point the planet had entirely changed. The vast majority of life had been destroyed, and the whole planet was covered in glaciers and a frozen ocean.

About that Ork Infestation[edit | edit source]

Yeah, about that...so apparently in M30, Valhalla was facing severe food shortages due to reasons. This problem worsened however, when a bunch of Orks with nothing better to do, got flung through the Warp to the ice world. Orks being Orks, descended upon the frozen ice-cream truck of a planet proceeded to fight the Valhallans for the food they had stored. Whilst things weren't looking too hot for the Valhallans, a couple of madlads burrowed a bunch of Moles to dig under the main Ork encampment to weaken the ground they were standing on, sinking it and burying these mushrooms for good.
