Khaine may have died, but his heart still lived. A faction of Khaine-worshipping aelves led by Morathi, who is leeching off of their worship in the hopes of becoming a goddess (and was transformed into a winged Medusa-like creature due to her little stay with Slaanesh between AoS and the End Times); while Khaine could be reborn through the worship and sacrifices of his servants, he won't be so long as Morathi keeps redirecting all of the worship intended for him to herself.

Morathi thinks of Varanspire a legitimate threat, and all damage done here is good.

Faction Overview[edit | edit source]

Typical glass cannons as always: Witches, Melusai and Khinerai form the roster.

Pros[edit | edit source]

  • Fast: Your fighters are 5" and beyond and the Khinerai are flyers
  • Lot of attacks: 4+ attacks on most of the roster, easy to fish for crits.
  • Blood in the air: abilities let them snowball with killing.

Cons[edit | edit source]

  • Low damage, Crit Reliant: you may attack a lot but most only deal 1 damage, Paltry chip damage. You need to hope your flurry of attacks yields a lot of 6s to get the 3-5 crit damage.
  • Fragile: most fighters will die to a breeze.

Abilities Overview[edit | edit source]

  • [Double] Bathe in Blood: Universal. A fighter can use this ability only if they are within 3" of a visible enemy fighter with 1 or more damage points allocated to them. Until the end of this fighters activation, add 1 to the Attacks and Strength characteristics of attack actions made by this fighter.
    • Ability Commentary - a defining ability, getting +1 attack is good on High crit fighters like Sister of Slaughter, and during your attack to S4 also help whittle enemies down even if you don't get the 6s. Absolutely killer on Blood Sisters
  • [Double] Turned To Crystal: Blood Sisters only. Pick a visible enemy fighter within 6" of this fighter and roll 2 dice. For each roll of a 4-5, allocate 1 damage point to that fighter. For each roll of a 6, allocate a number of damage points to that fighter equal to the value of this ability.
    • Ability Commentary - let Blood Sisters deal extra damage. Chip out a wounded fighter or get the ball rolling.
  • [Triple] Heartseekers: Blood Stalkers only. If the next attack action made by this fighter this activation scores one or more critical hits, and the target fighter is more than 3" away, allocate a number of damage points to that fighter equal to the value of this ability.
    • Ability Commentary - Situational and you have other Abilities that will give you more guaranteed effects. only recommend using it on a Blood Stalker Krone.
  • [Triple] Slaughter's Strength: Universal. Until the end of this fighters activation, add the value of this ability to the Strength characteristic of attack actions made by this fighter that have a range characteristic of 3 or less.
    • Ability Commentary -
  • [Triple] Sacrifice to Khaine: Leader (of any type) only. A fighter can use this ability only if an enemy fighter has been taken down by an attack action made by them this activation. Until the end of the battle round, add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of attack actions that have a Range characteristic of 3 or less made by visible friendly fighters while they are within 6" of this fighter.
    • Ability Commentary - Difficult to line up, as you want to activate your leader first, get a kill, and then pop this immediately. Still, if the stars align, it’ll have been worth all of the setup it took.
  • [Quad] Death on the Wind: Khinerai (of both type) only. This fighter makes a bonus move action. Then, they can make a bonus attack action. In addition, add 1 to the Strength characteristic of that attack action if the fighter finished the move action 6" or more from their starting position.
    • Ability Commentary - Turns a Lifetaker into an explosive killer. Sadly worthless without a Khinerai who is ready.

  • [Double] Witchbrew : Pick a visible friendly fighter within 3" of this fighter. Until the end of the battle round, add the value of this ability to the Strength characteristic of the next attack action made by that fighter that has a Range characteristic of 3" or less.
  • [Quad] Orgy of Slaughter :Until the end of the battle round, add the value of this ability to the Attacks characteristic of attack actions that have a Range characteristic of 3" or less made by visible friendly fighter while they are within 6" of this fighter.

    • Rule: Leader
    • Weapons:

    • Weapons:

Khenerai Heartrender Shrike[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 12"; Toughness 4; Wounds 20; 245 Pts.
    • Rule: Leader, Agile, Fly
    • Weapons:
      • Spear-Range 8"; Attacks 3; Strength 4; Damage 2/4
  • Fighter Commentary - A ranged option versus the Harridan, highly maneuverable and throws javelins. You can trigger [Triple] Sacrifice to Khaine by thowing a spear 8" away while her companions within 6" of her get the +1 attack.

Blood Sister Gorgai[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 7"; Toughness 4; Wounds 30; 245 Pts.
    • Rule: Leader, Elite
    • Weapons:
      • Spear-Range 2"; Attacks 6; Strength 4; Damage 2/4
  • Fighter Commentary - Slippery and Scaly warrior. 6 attacks at 4 Strength that deal 2/4 damage, will take out most weaker fighters easily.

  • Stats: Movement 7"; Toughness 4; Wounds 30; 235 Pts.
    • Rule: Leader, Berserker
    • Weapons:
      • Ranged-Range 3-20"; Attacks 3; Strength 3; Damage 2/5
      • Unarmed-Range 1"; Attacks 2; Strength 3; Damage 1/2
  • Fighter Commentary - one of the best “lead from the back” choices. Her bow is very strong and using [Triple] Heartseekers can cripple most fighters if you get a 6.

Melusai Ironscale[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 7"; Toughness 4; Wounds 32; 275 Pts.
    • Rule: Leader, Elite
    • Weapons:
      • Ranged-Range 3-7"; Attacks 2; Strength 3; Damage 3/6

Fighters[edit | edit source]

Witch Aelf With Sacrificial Knives[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 5"; Toughness 3; Wounds 8; 65 Pts.
    • Weapons:
      • Dagger-Range 1"; Attacks 4; Strength 3; Damage 1/3
  • Fighter Commentary - the basis of what your faction is. They will die quickly but will also move quickly and have 4 attacks. They are weak attacks and cross your fingers you crit a lot. The low strength and damage can of set with abilities [Double] Bathe in Blood, [Triple] Slaughter's Strength, and [Triple] Sacrifice to Khaine which boost attack and Strength, Doesn’t fix their damage problem but you’re landing more hits and hoping to crit.

Witch Aelf With Sacrificial Knives and Bladed Buckler[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 5"; Toughness 4; Wounds 8; 75 Pts.
    • Weapons:
      • Dagger-Range 1"; Attacks 3; Strength 3; Damage 1/3
  • Fighter Commentary - Trade +1 attack for +1 Toughness. Better at not dying and holding their ground. For 10 points, they are more likely to Live longer, which is only superior in campaigns to save money.

Sister of Slaughter Barbed Wip and Sacrifical Knife[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 5"; Toughness 3; Wounds 8; 75 Pts.
    • Weapons:
      • Reach Weapon-Range 2"; Attacks 4; Strength 3; Damage 1/4
  • Fighter Commentary - Upgreaded Witch that deal +1 Crit damage for 10 more points. Also has a 2" reach weapon, helping to zone out enemies for a little more defense. if you’re stacking attack buffs, they are a better candidate than the other Witch Aelves.

Sister of Slaughter Barbed Whip and Bladed Buckler[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 5"; Toughness 4; Wounds 8; 85 Pts.
    • Weapons:
      • Reach Weapon-Range 2"; Attacks 3; Strength 3; Damage 1/4
  • Fighter Commentary - A defensive version of the Sister of Slaughter. Slightly less fragile like the Witch Aelf with Buckler but it also has a 2" reach weapon, helping to zone out enemies for a little more defense. Still expensive with only 8 wounds despite having both reach and T4

Khinerai Lifetaker[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 12"; Toughness 4; Wounds 10; 165 Pts.
    • Rule: Agile, Fly
    • Weapons:
      • Dagger-Range 1"; Attacks 4; Strength 3; Damage 1/4
  • Fighter Commentary - A flying Sister of Slaughter. They are fragile for their price with only 10 wound but they still deal alot of damage and are quick, especaly using [Quad] Death on the Wind.

Khinerai Heartrender[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 12"; Toughness 4; Wounds 10; 175 Pts.
    • Rule:Agile, Fly
    • Weapons:
      • Spear-Range 8"; Attacks 2; Strength 4; Damage 1/4
  • Fighter Commentary - Sacrifice mobile damage for killing at a safe distance. They can make safer use of [Quad] Death on the Wind. Overall they can generate more value over time then Lifetakers as they don't have to be in dangerous situations.

Blood Sister[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 7"; Toughness 4; Wounds 20; 165 Pts.
    • Rule: Elite
    • Weapons:
      • Spear-Range 2"; Attacks 5; Strength 3; Damage 1/4
  • Fighter Commentary - Fast moving and the closest thing you have to a tank (they at least don’t die to breezes). In addition to having a little reach, her spear spits out 5 attacks (still cross your fingers for 6s). [Triple] Slaughter's Strength and [Double] Turned To Crystal will help chip fighters down.

Blood Stalker[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 7"; Toughness 4; Wounds 20; 165 Pts.
    • Rule: Berserker
    • Weapons:
      • Ranged-Range 3-20"; Attacks 2; Strength 3; Damage 1/5
      • Unarmed-Range 1"; Attacks 2; Strength 3; Damage 1/2
  • Fighter Commentary- the archer of the bunch. Long range with bow and do a massive 5 damage on crits. To bad she’s only got 2 attacks. Still a decent fighter that hides in the back and fishes for 6s. If you’re using [Triple] Heartseekers, use it on the leader version, and instead give this one [Triple] Slaughter's Strength.

DoomfireWarlocks[edit | edit source]

  • Stats: Movement 10"; Toughness 3; Wounds 18; 140 Pts.
    • Rule: Leader, Mount
    • Weapons:
      • Sword-Range 1"; Attacks 3; Strength 3; Damage 1/3
      • Ranged-Range 3-12"; Attacks 2; Strength 3; Damage 1/3
  • Fighter Commentary -
