Devourer Dropship
The Devourer Dropship is a dropship used by the Imperial Navy to transport Imperial Guard forces from space to planetary surfaces. It is also highly phallic in appearance, looking more akin to a flying iron dildo that has the unfortunate ability of opening its 'tip' and unleashing a torrent of smaller vehicles and troops to 'cleanse the area'. Seriously the amount of innuendos you can make from this ship design is through the roof. Although asking your Commissar or Tech Priest on such heresy is bound to get you *BLAM'ED!*.

Overview
On a more serious note, these dropships are substantially larger than the Space Marine Thunderhawk Gunships, being large enough to house a double-decked design, in which the upper deck house the infantry units while the lower deck carries the more heavier equipment such as tanks and artillery, quite like the Manta.
The Devourer is designed for planetary landings and deployment, with the armoured front section of the vessel opening up into four sections, deploying a ramp so that the onboard vehicles and infantry can quickly depart, this in turn makes it both efficient in terms of deployment organization and quick in terms of deployment speed. The Devourer itself is not designed for combat, but is equipped with two heavy lascannon turrets and missile launchers in self defense.
