On Necromunda, Rookies come free within a Palanite squad. Strictly inferior to Patrolmen, and unable to be Subjugators, they do have the same weapon options as other Palanites. A good suggestion would be to keep Rookies cheap, running around with their free stub gun, achieving objectives and threatening to Coup de Grace injured enemies or buy them an Enforcer Shotgun. 5+BS is rough, but when you have a Scattershot teardrop template it doesn’t matter. Enforcer Rookies are the newbies who just joined the Palanite Enforcers of Necromunda.
Overview
These guys are the new recruits who was inspired to join the Enforcers after watching like, 10 years worth of buddy cop dramas and police comedies. Suffice to say, they are often guided under the wings of their seniors on the proper procedures to do things. The majority of Palanite Enforcer squads always have at least one or two Rookies to tag along and learn the "hand-on" approach to law enforcement in Necromunda.
Due to their relative inexperience, Rookies aren't equipped with the specialist weapons. Rather, they are armed with the same weapons as the more senior Enforcer Patrolman, such as Stub Guns, Imperial Boltguns, Combat Shotguns and a Shock Baton, alongside a selection of Smoke Grenades, Blind Grenades, and Shock Grenades. Although usually, most Rookies are armed with a Stub Gun due to their ease of handling and training. They are also protected with Flak Armour as standard.
