A face only a mother would love. Look at it, those are some kissable lips aren't they?
The Digganobz of Ork Warbosses.

Forge Bosses are lower lieutenants in House Goliath and the third-in-command. They answer to only the Overtyrant and a Forge Tyrant.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Forge Tyrants choose their Forge Bosses from those fighters who will challenge their dominance rather than grovel at their feet. It is the ambition of the Forge Boss, therefore, to replace the Forge Tyrant, and everything they do works toward this goal, constantly testing the strength of the leader until such time as they sense weakness, allowing them to assume their rightful place at the top. If this sounds familiar, a lot of this is similar to the state of affairs of the Iron Warriors after Perturabo's arrival.

As they are pretty high-ranked as far as Goliath society goes, a Forge Boss is given equipment and weapons that are deemed too expensive or complex to use by Goliath standards. These are, Combi-Flamers, Combi-Grenade Launchers, Missile Launchers, regular Grenade Launchers, Chainaxes, Eviscerators and a Master-Crafted Renderizer. They also carry a small collection of Frag Grenades and Krak Grenades.

Crunch[edit | edit source]

On Necromunda, the Forge Boss functions in the traditional sense as a sort of Lieutenant to his Forge Tyrant. They’re able to use Group Activation on a single accompanying model, which is an ability not shared by their counterpart, the Stimmer.

The Forge Boss has slightly fewer attacks and less Ballistic Skill compared to the Tyrant, but they’re generally almost as good at anything your leader can do.
