A group of murderhobos ready to pick out some heresy.

The Cawdor Brethren are the foot soldiers of Necromunda's House Cawdor gangs and one of the most numerous Cawdor troops you will find in that cult.

Overview

They are masked, lest their individuality makes them seem too proud, and have more experience than the newer Bonepickers that often follow them around. They look somewhat similar to the Bonepicker, but a Brethren is not a scrawny-looking nerd but a capable individual that wear thicker clothing to denote their rank.

Since they are considered as 'adults' to the youthful Bonepickers, the Brethren are armed with crude polearms, fashioned after the mighty weapons of the Emperor's bodyguards called a Blunderpole or an Axe Gun with an attached Autogun or Blunderbuss depending on the preference. Other weapons includes a good-old Autogun, Incendiary Charges and are even esteemed enough to wear Flak Armour.

In a typical Cawdor Gang troupe, it usually consists of three-four of these Brethren plus a single Bonepicker to learn things from them.

Crunch

On the tabletop, the humble Cawdor Brethren’s statline is pure mediocrity, but they are absolutely the best and only choice for being the backbone of your gang due to the fact that each Cawdor Brethren can take the Cawdor Blunderpole, which is like one of the best basic weapons in the entire game despite looking like duct taped garbage. The other fact is that they have the Devout Masses (Ganger) special rule, allowing you to take 1 extra ganger per battle for free!

Moreover, at 95 credits with a blunderpole and flak armor, you’ve got a credits-efficient, close-ranged monster, who can net you extra fighters each game.
