The Chronos Pattern Ironcrawler is an up-armoured, tankier cousin of the common Cargo-8 Ridgehauler found not only in Necromunda, but nearly every single industrialised planet in the Imperium. Think of this as a Imperial Killdozer, or an armoured big rig with tank threads. Ironcrawlers are needed when shit is just too much for a Cargo-8 to travel safely without getting gimped on. So the Ironcrawler comes to take shit head on and continue chugging along.
Overview
With its tracked propulsion, the Ironcrawler can drive over anything – from sand and rocks to prone enemy gangers or Gun-smyths who’ve sold you dodgy merchandise. Its sealed cab keeps the driver and its passenger safe from radioactive dust storms and radioactive gangers alike, for a true all-terrain vehicle, this thing can work in any environment, even potentially, the void of space, making it very versatile for the Imperium's needs.
The Ironcrawler even has a transport cage behind the cab, akin to the Chimera, from which your gang can take advantage of numerous fire points to blast away from the comfort of their big rig ride. As well as having an open-topped space at the back which allows for even more transport capabilities, albeit, without the vehicle's tight-sealed protection.
Given its armoured and completely sealed-tight superstructure, the Ironcrawler is even tougher on the sides than its wheeled cousin, and it has an extra Hull Point, making it even more durable. It’s also just as customisable, arriving with four upgrade slots on the body, four on the drive, and four for the engines. After all, this thing can be Your Dudes if you want to craft a real-life Killdozer on tabletop.
As a heavily armoured truck that can be turned into a poor man's Chimera IFV. This technical is usually armed with two coaxial Heavy Stubbers, one on the cabin and another one on the transport cage.
